Sun Bum Blonde Formula Hair Lightener, Shampoo for Blondes to Medium Brown, Types Bundle

I have used this 3 times in between washes and can tell a noticeable difference! I forgot to take before and after pics, however this is what I found:Yes this works with a blow dryer. I wash my hair once every 3-4 days with dry shampoo in between. I use this either after I wash my hair while it is damp, or the next day on dry hair by spraying thoroughly and then blow drying for about 5 minutes on medium heat after i have brushed the product through.I am naturally a dark ashy blonde and this has definitely lightened my hair in only 3 uses. I will note that this does make my hair lift a bit warmer than I’d like so I may eventually use a toner of some kind (but pre-summer I’m fine with the warm tones).This works just as well if not better than sun-in. It definitely has a ‘beachy’ smell. I have a lot of hair but it is on the finer side so I don’t really like any products that leave a ‘weight’ or texture to my hair which this does, however it’s not heavy more like using a sea salt or texture spray in your hair. I usually put mine up with a clip for 2 days after.I feel like it does continue to “develop” for at least another day so I wouldn’t use this and then wash right away but after washing my hair is just as soft as before with no damage. I haven’t noticed any split ends or frizzy texture from using this. Definitely well worth the price and I will keep buying.

Product works great to gently lighten my hair. I have naturally strawberry blonde hair and the blonde highlights it leaves are natural and shiny. As I have gotten gray hairs it blends them in naturally without needing to get salon treatments or hair dye. I find it works best for days when I can be outside in the sun - spray where you want on damp hair and let it dry in the sun.

Works well and smells great. Just turns your hair a bit orange, this is after purple shampoo.

Amazing product. Work great for me and the smell is great. Leaves your hait smelling like the beach for the rest of the day.

I liked the smell better than Sun-in, but actually Sun-in works better. Sun-in works with heat and UV light. So if you put it in your hair you get double activation with the heat and UV light. My hair was significantly lighter (with highlights) with Sun-in and I used it on a cloudy day (I do live in Hawaii so although it was cloudy it was still hot). I didn’t get the same result when I used Sun Bum on a cloudy day. But Sun Bum smells way better than sun-in. So now I’m gonna use Sun-in and then a little Sun Bum so the smell doesn’t totally make me sick hahaha. Im glad I tried it tho. I would recommend Sun-in.**update**: after this review, they changed their marketing to include that it’s heat activated. Not sure if it really is or they just changed their marketing.

My hair is a deep dark brown, almost black. I didn’t want to spend the time or money at the salon so I decided to give this a try. It works! My hair has streaks of light brown. Love it!works! My hair is lighter, more like light brown. I love it!

I found this to work very well and also seems to work faster than John Freida which smells awful like bug spray. I’m extremely sensitive to fragrances and usually buy fragrance free products or ones that smell like food. Can’t stand perfumes. This smells like bananas which isn’t my favorite but the scent doesn’t linger at all! I sprayed it on just the top of my hair after washing my hair and dried it with a brush dryer concentrating on the roots. I ended up doing this 3 times to get the lightening I wanted. I also was out in the sun for a little while after. It’s not greasy at all and didn’t seem to dry out my hair nor make it orange. I have naturally light brown hair with gray “highlights “. This lightened it enough to blend those in a quite bit and then I applied more of it in a few separate areas where there was more gray. It also made my hair really shiny. It’s definitely worth the extra cost if even just for the scent ( that fades fast!)
