Buy it good kit and good value read review and my "how to"
This is great solid piece of kit Ideal for low to medium security applications. I use it to secure ladders against my wall to stop theft or a burglar using them at the rear of my property to gain acces to windows on first floor as my garden is very private and not overlooked . Be aware this ground anchor is only as good as the chain or locking cable and padlock you use with it , so don't use a cheap cable or chain and lock , it is a false economy, a decent chain and padlock will cost at least as much as the ground anchor probably more and you would be foolish not to buy a decent quality one to complete the security that this ground anchor offers . It comes well boxed with two 16 mm expanding anchor bolts and a allen key to tighten ,also two ball bearings to hammer into allen head bolts after tightening down to prevent billy burglar from simply undoing all your hard work with an allen key of his own !My instructions to those who do not usually do diy or are ladies who are not familiar with DIY. i.e total NoviceBasic DIY skills required to fitTools required1 x electric drill or suitably powerful battery drill with "hammer action " (to allow drilling in brick or masonary)1 x pilot drill bit (masonary type ) 6mm or 8 mm perfect for this1 x 16mm masonary type drill bit for second drilling of pilot hole1 x Hammer1 x allen key of correct size for bolts ( this is supplied with the ground anchor )1 x bit of chewing gum or blue tackMethoddrill masonary bit pilot hole in 6 or 8 mm after usingground anchor to mark holes locationdrill again the same pilot holes but with larger 16mm masonary drill bit to required depth (use electricians tape wrapped around drill bit at correct depth (hold fixing bolt along the length of drill bit to measure this depth )Once the 16 mm hole has been drilled to correct depth blow out hole s so free from debri and dust .Put bolts on to ground anchor (this will require unscrewing bolts and placing the threaded bolt section through ground anchor holes and the re attaching the rest of bolt on the wall fixing side of anchor screw back on gently so a good amount of thread is on bolts DO NOT over tighten as this will spread or splay the bolt and you won't get it in drilled hole !)Line up anchor and bolts Gently tap in bolt heads until anchor is flat or flush with wall .Tighten with allen key supplied (ensure this is tightenened as MUCH as possible by hand no need to smash it tight with a hammer )When you are satisfied all is tightened and secure affix the ball bearings supplied into the allen heads and use a piece of chewing gum or blue tack if you have any to hold the ball bearing in place then tap this into the allen head bolts until they are seated as deep as they will go .Lastly..discard gum ! and admire your handywork and bask in the glory of knowing you would have made any low life scum burglars life that much harder if he comes calling to your home ....be aware a 16mm masonary drill bit is not the kind of size most DIY ers keep in their tool box and you must factor in the cost of one allow £5 -£10 available here from Amazon . The pilot drill bit of 6mm or 8mm is common and usually in most DIYERs drill bit box .Hope this helps the total noviceP.S some people complain here on reviews that bolts dont fit etc into the holes drilled and get stuck half way in etc etc ..this is due to user instal error NOT the bolts or a quality control issuewhen you have drilled the 16 mm fixing hole to the correct depth ream the drill bit in and out a dozen times to clean the hole out and remove any debri and rough masonary then when you put the expanding bolts in ENSURE that you have not overtightened the bolt and began to splay or spread the expanding bit BEFORE you have even tapped it into the hole . The bolt should not be splayed at the fixing side at all as this will mean you get the bolt trapped half way . Follow these simple steps and you should have no issues at all.

Easy and secure installation
This is a great addition for bike security, was very easy to install, feels very secure giving that extra piece of mind that the bike will be alot harder to steal. Excellent value for money will be buying another one for my other bike.

Great product
Really happy with this after getting the BIRD model which was rubbish and had no instructions or Alan key with it.This on the other hand did, came with clear insulations and all the bits needed. YouWill need a 16” drill bit and as far er instructions drill 68mm into the wall/surface.Really happy with it and would definitely recommend

Sturdy Anchor, Wall Mountable
Does what it's supposed to, works with my cable and D lock for my bike. Silver rated for security. Easy to install.Curiously branded on Amazon as a unisex item, I am curious to know what a gender specific ground anchor would look like!
