5V USB LED Strip Light 5M 300 SMD 3528 with 3M Tape for TV Computer Backlighting (Non-Waterproof, Warm White 2800-3200K)

We wanted lighting above our new kitchen cabinets, but it's not wired for electrical up there. These work great when plugged into those portable cell phone chargers (see picture 1). I used the adhesive backing to stick them onto long strips of wood that are 2'x1/4" (see pictures 2 and 3). Then I placed the wood/light strips above the cabinets and plugged them into the cell phone chargers (see pictures 4 and 5).Granted, it's not ideal because I have to climb up on a ladder to turn them on (using the cell phone charger). However, it looks great and it's worth the effort for special occasions. Installed them SUPER fast. These advertise 3000k Warm White color. I believe it. My undercabinet lights are the same and it looks good in person. The photo makes the top light look way different from the bottom (doesn't look that way IRL).So far no dead LED pixels. Everything works as it should. I will update this review if that changes.

LOVE this light strip. True warm white color tone. The current draw for 13 feet (3.9 meters) is around 1.6 Amps. A 5V - 2A supply is just right. I added a motion sensor that turns on at the bottom and top of the steps and turns off after 15 seconds. The adhesive backing is OK. About 90% sticks perfectly. I added just a touch of super glue at a few points. Make sure the surface that you attach to is clean. I used isopropyl alcohol on a rag to prep the painted wood surface. It's best to have someone who knows electronics and soldering to really perfect the application of the light strip.

The color of these lights is much cooler than expected. As many others have said, the backing is not sufficiently sticky. These are the only 5m led lights I could find with a USB plug, so I will be keeping them, but they are not very high quality.

These have a yellow/slightly pink glow and the adhesive is useless. Tried sticking it to the back of the tv and it fell off in 30 mintues.

I installed this LED as accent lights inside the kitchen cabinets with glass doors. The length of this made it usable (plugged into built-in USB outlets),They work great for cabinet perimeters, as most USB type LED are only 2 meter length, and has lower output than 12V types, perfect for accent. The adhesive tape is not strong enough to adhere without supports, but I installed in rails, so it will stay.(edit note: Previously i ranked this low since it appear to 'burn out' : the LED were dimly lid after 5 months. I stand corrected about LED burnt out: it never did, but the USB connector gets 'rusty' somehow and significant power reduction occured. So, while the LED was functional, i have to clean out the USB plugs with tiny brushes and it worked again)

Updated review:I updated my rating from 2 to 4 stars.MJJC reached out to me and apologized for my compatibility issues with the warm white LED strip and their connectors. They explained that that was older stock and the new warm white stock and all other colors have 2 pins. They offered to send a 2 pin replacement strip to me. They also gave me a suggestion that the adhesive could stick better if I heated it with a hair dryer.I received the light strip and could verify that it works similar to the old one (power drain is the same as mentioned in the original review). What I like better about that one is that you can cut the strip after each LED and not just after 3 LEDs (while keeping the same LED density). That is very nice. Strength of the adhesive is okayish, but could still be better (that's why I didn't go to 5 stars). I would assume that if you don't use 3m as one long strip and hanging down, it will be better.Original review:Don't bother buying them if you intend to cut them. They require an 8mm 4 pin connector which I have yet to find -- the conector that they offer themselves is only 2 pin and doesn't work.The adhesive is okayish. It started to come off in some places, but still supports 3m of the strip more or less.On the good side: The light is really warm white and it works with a 5V 1A power adapter (drawin 1.2A at 4.3V for the whole strip).

Love this lighting! Only problem is that I didn't have enough to go around under all my cabinets (lower cabinets). Came on a secure movie reel type storage. Easy to install. Love the look.

These were FUN. Used to light a rolltop desk. Perfect. Be sure to order the right color: warm vs. cool white.
