Best $20 (gooseneck+base) spent on professional grade mic setup for remote working!
I needed a desk mic set up and had a Olympus Mic that I have purchased years ago. Was thinking of purchasing a good quality USB mic but since I had a headphone/mic amplifier, I thought I make my own. I then decided to give this gooseneck a go and I'm glad I did. I purchased a wooden base from Michael's for 99cents and mounted the gooseneck to the base. Then ran the 3.5mm male to female cable through the gooseneck (though you have to cut the wire then resolder on the 3.5mm male jack). Then attached the gooseneck base to the wooden base which was stained with dark oak color. It sounds just fantastic! Gooseneck feels very premium and heavy duty, so is the base. Just like a professional podcast mic setup. I'm a happy camper at a fraction of a price of professional equipment!

Very sturdy
I was looking at goosenecks typically used for desk lamps. They tend to be weak. This is very sturdy, holds some weight. The threading (5/8 x 27) wasn't advantageous to my project. But, the two adapters (to 1/4" ASIN: B0995JZ52D) worked really well (need some locktite to make them more permanently tight.).

Very stiff for stability
It worked great. I hope a locking ring would be added on threaded end for mic holder!

Perfect for MicroKorg Vocoder
This is the perfect size if you want to use a "real" microphone with your MicroKorg vocoder. You will also need the adapter (for sell elsewhere) and a mic clip to hold the mic. The gooseneck is very sturdy and feels like it will last. Very good value!

13" goosneck for mics. Awesome!
Mic placement is critical for great sound. so I have a few of these goose necks for doing just that. Getting the mic RIGHT where I want it. These are nice - just the right "ridgidity" (is that a word?) to put an SM-58 exactly where you need it without worrying about it "drifting off" when you are not looking at it. Perfect!
