Book is very colorful and nicely done

The book reflects one of the shows and my daughter is making me read it every night before bed at the moment. Nice pictures. Would recommend for any Gabby's Dollhouse fan.

'The Sparkliest Day of the Year' follows Gabby and her cat friends on their quest to restore Mercat's lost sparkle.The book follows pretty much the same plot as the episode it's based on, although there are some cuts in dialogue, which I assume is for pacing.I put the episode on TV so my three year old and I could follow along with the book. There are lots of positive aspects to the book. It promotes friendship and team work and focuses more on the scientific element of spa day rather than the beauty aspect of it. I like that it helps provide ideas and projects to try too.The pictures are copied from the episode and are well printed and in focus. It starts off with photographs of the real Gabby before switching to a cartoon style, just like in the show. My three year likes watching the show, but I think she is still a bit young for such a long book. So it's probably suited to slightly older children. The book also lacks some of the interactive elements found in the show. It does, however, have lots of positive messages. The book is well printed and bound and perfect for any young fan of the show.

Good book. Bigger than the Scholastic books of Gabby. Based on one of the episodes of Gabby's Dollhouse where Mercat loses her sparkle. Nice bright colours.
