Excellent gift for kids age 4-8, though it’s appealing to more ages. For shorter kids, it is a little long, so I cut off some length so my 2 year old could enjoy it more.The ribbon is pretty and soft, and it lasts well indoors and on grass with no noticeable damage.I like to give this to kids as a gift because it’s atypical, fosters creativity, and is easy to store.This particular brand was just fine- I looked for a color ribbon that matched a leotard I also gave my niece.

I do not know much about gymnastic ribbons, but this has lasted 3 months with a very enthusiastic child who has played with them for many many hours. Many hours.... No wear and tear. I'm impressed.
