That clean scalp feeling that lasts
Good- This shampoo is potent. A dime sized drop goes a long way. You can feel it gently penetrate through dandruff and get to the scalp below. Very effective at eliminating scalp itch when used twice weekly. Perfect for seborrheic conditions.Bad- It smells like creosote (the chemical they use to treat rail road ties.) If you don't mind smelling sort of like moth balls then this isn't a bad thing. The smell lasts several hours after your shower and persists for a day or so if you really search for it. Perhaps some scented product afterward will help cover it up.

Works As Advertised
This product works very well and is a great value. I will definitely be purchasing it again in the future.

Works good.
Great product. Does what it's supposed to do. My only complaint is they were taped where they open on the top, but were not screwed down tight and they leaked just a little bit. The amount that leaked was so small it didn't matter to me. But maybe they should get someone with a little more grip strength to tighten them fully.

It works. It's available at a good price. It smells weird.
I've used coal tar shampoo for years, both T-Gel and the Equate generic. I don't mind smelling like a freshly coated driveway. It's been difficult to find any of these products on the shelf, and that goes double if I want the extra strength versions or the generics. At least this stuff is available at a reasonable price. That said, this product seems to have some sort of added fragrance that doesn't play well with the coal tar scent. It ends up smelling less like plain coal tar and more like shampoo that had been recovered from a house fire. I'm not going to stop using it, but maybe I shouldn't have bought so many bottles.FWIW, the bottles came taped shut and wrapped. I had no issues with leakage in transit.EDIT (about a year later): Considering how availability has only gotten worse since my review, I can no longer regret buying as many bottles as I did. The smell might not be the same as the old stuff, but I'm used to it and I can't care if it still works. I'd buy more if I could.
