Lifekind Breathable Organic Wool Moisture Protector Mattress Pad - Crib (28 x 52 Inches)

Having used the puddle pad as a diaper changing station base, a crib pad with an infant that magically found gaps in his cloth diapers, and using the twin-size pad in the bed of the same child as he was potty training, we now swear by the Pure Wool Moisture Protector Pad by Lifekind.While we did not follow the "rinse with warm water and air dry" directions, we have not noticed an issue with odor or discoloration.During the nights our child was potty training and had accidents on his twin-size pad, we had a towel around to help wipe up residual moisture prior to putting on the new sheets. Then, probably about every 5th sheet change, we did use warm water and let it air dry. On other nights/mornings (i.e. 4:00 AM), he would join us in our queen-size bed and we just used the puddle pad to minimize leak through if he had an accident in our bed before we all got out of bed and changed the sheets.While I first felt the price of the pads were steep, the cost of a new bed or the frustration of dealing with a wet bed far outweigh the cost of the pads. Having purchased these with our first child, they are being reused in the same fashion with our second thereby increasing the usage for no increased cost.Once you are through using them, they can be given to family or friends who have young children (or even resold as used) if you kept them nice.

I purchased this for our Tempur-Cloud Luxe Breeze mattress. I did try laying on the mattress with and without this topper and have noticed that with the topper the mattress is a little warmer; however, we sometimes have our two year old sleep with us so we will keep it on. This is not nearly as warm as other's that we've tried.

My son leaked through his pull-up while sleeping in our bed. I was terrified of the aftermath I would find, but pleasantly surprised- the wool pad blocked the leakage! This would have 5 stars except that it requires air drying and a warm water rinse. I only needed to rinse the soiled spot, which was not difficult, but having a king mattress it was a little bulky in my tiny bathroom. Also, the air drying is better suited for people who plan ahead or have a spare.
