If you want your chat to hear teammates when streaming this is a must.
Must have for streaming via capture card and wanting to hear other people's voices in your videos / stream.Really easy to use, functionality is just plug in and play. Picture quality doesn't matter here it's all about the sound. Cable length is long, one end goes into controller, one end goes into headset, one end goes into capture card. It's elgato so great value for money.

Took them 6 years but worth it
Many many streamers console players have tried cable after cable to get party chat to work correctly. And when they found out they needed an Elgato one, take it from me cheap ones do not work period. Now finally 6 years later they bring out an update in both quality, and an extra bit of tech, to stop buzzing when your charging the controller at the same time, due to earthing problems.I also can confirm this to works. But more importantly I think is I had many problems trying to get my party to be hard on my stream, but even I was a touched surprised to see yet again it just worked, perfectly. So all in all, I know Elgato are stupid expensive on all there goods but to be honest this again is a must buy if you need party chat on your stream through controller.

Does the job!
If you capture ps5 game play your probably going to need one of these! And it does the job perfectly, connects straight to the external capture card and records all the gameplay audio 👌 annoying that this has to be purchased to do so, but the cable isn't too bad priced considering it works

Audio nightmare
I bought the chat link to record Xbox gameplay. To start with it doesn't include everything in the box. You need to have a female to female cable to plug the headset into the chat link cable. So bought one of those. When I plug it in for some reason the microphone on my headset turns off. Obviously can't record audio if the microphone is turned off. I have played with all sorts of settings on the Xbox and Elgato software, contacted Elgato and watch YT videos to try and sort the issue. Eventually gave up as nothing should be this painful. Maybe it is the wireless headset that I am using (steelseries 9x). But who knows I am not wasting anymore time on it or buying new headsets to hopefully get one that works. Even if the chat link worked its annoying as the cable rubs against the headset making a scrapping noise with any slightest movement.
