Been wanting a bed cover for a while to keep out tree foliage. Finally spent the money. Like the cover, seems really sturdy. The one down side that I can say, is that you have to drill your own slide positions if you don't want it to be fully closed and locked in place. I think it would have been simple for the manufacturer to have preset multiple positions easier and cleaner than I could.

Install was very easy, I just put it together in my driveway and lifted it up on to the truck (F150) and clamped it down per instruction. It was straight and square. It was just one problem, when I tried to close the lid it was catching something at the last 1/2" to 1" so it would twist on me. Had to take it down again, put it in my driveway and rolled it out to see where it was catching. After a while I found where it was catching, on the drivers side where the cover goes in to the rails the last section of the cover hit the bottom side of the rail so I had to grind down that piece a little bit and that took care of it.

Excellent product. Will buy one again. Allows me to lock my tools inside the bed of my truck and now I don't have to fill and stink up the cab with dirty old tools.

I bought my Retrax cover back in February. 4 months later heading toward the summer months my cover warped and now I have a wavey cover. I had my installer contact the manufacturer and they told me tough luck. Warranty does not include hot weather. I would avoid.

I loved the idea of this cover. It has done a great job of keeping things dry and out of plain sight. My problem revolves around the material of the actual cover. The F150 I have it on is a 2014 with 35k on it. Its is parked in a garage and doesnt sit outside unless its in use. The roll up cover has begun to crack and upon reading up on this issue it is apparently a very common issue. At $1300 I was expecting quiet a bit more longevity out of this contraption. Obviously Im out of their "one year warranty" and into the prorated territory which Im not even considering spending any more money on this device. I remember one of the selling points was how this material will outlast the vinyl covers and it doesnt dry out and crack like the vinyl covers. Joke is on me I guess! The other issue I had with this cover is how noisy it is. This thing chatters going down the road. I have to explain to passengers the annoying rattle is the bed cover. I dont know what product is better as they all have their pros/cons but how this cover is cracking and I would have not considered this product had I known it would not last this long. I am by no means a difficult customer I just hate expensive items that dont last...
