Clint's, Texas Salsa, Medium, 16 oz

When I say I'm into salsa, I AM INTO SALSA! lol I regularly try new salsas that are available online but also only available locally -- friends throughout the country think of me and ship me small business salsas. Lucky me. That said, I love no other salsa more than I love Clint's Salsa. It's the perfect flavor and level of 'hotness' (for each the mild, medium and hot flavors -- I love them all and use different levels for different plates). The only thing that would be nicer for some plates is the thickness so it's less likely to run but honestly, I'm more than happy to sacrifice that for the flavor. In instances where I'd like it thicker, I simply drain some of the juices into a separate jar for use in other recipes.Seriously. Best salsa I've ever had!

Amazingly authentic. I'm born and raised in Texas, where good salsa is easy to come by. Having lived most of my adult life outside of the state of Texas, I've had to search long and hard for even decent salsa. Eventually, I learned that I would have to rely on the label to tell me where the product was produced. If it's not in a state in the US that borders Mexico, I never seem to enjoy the flavors. They are stale, weak or artificially vinegary. For a while, I was buying Herdez quite happily because it was suddenly being stocked in my local grocery and was quite affordable. Then I stumbled across a jar of Clint's medium salsa, and decided to buy it and bring along for a small get together with friends. What a treat! The tomatoes are especially flavorful and robust, and the "pica" (heat of the taste) was perfectly balanced! I was hooked, and by the end of the week had purchased and yes, consumed, every jar they stocked....I tried the chipotle and the mild and was quite unhappy with those varieties, but alas, my grocer failed to stock the lovely and delicious medium variety for a LONG two week period. I grew impatient and frankly, I was craving the stuff. I decided to look for larger containers than 16 oz online, but unfortunately Clint's doesn't do that...but they ARE located in TEXAS!! haha So, I found a delightful amazon prime "deal" on 6 jars (16 oz), and immediately placed my order (10/24) ...and sat back to await its delivery to my doorstep, which, happily FINALLY occurred yesterday (11/1)...and I must admit, it was very worth the wait! I've already consumed the first jar. (ok I had a little help from a friend) I think I should go ahead and order the next case so that it will be here by the time I run out of these (smile!) Highly recommend! From a native Texan (and part mexican in my genetic lineage and socialization around food) to anyone interested in the freshest taste you can get from a jar!!

This has become my family's favorite salsa. Can not buy any other now.

I think this is the best salsa available. It's very fresh and tasty. And it has far less sodium than the unhealthy mass market brands. My family and friends all love it.
