Great gain, high quality sound and materials!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This little clip on microphone provides excellent gain and clarity. The voice does sound a bit "flat", but it can be easily edited using audio software such as Audacity or Adobe Audition. Even though the microphone is omnidirectional, meaning it can pick up sounds from all around it, I did notice that it does a very good job at picking up mostly the voice.I compared the audio from the video recorded with a Samsung Galaxy A5, which records in stereo with great clarity, but also picks up a lot of ambient noise.I did have to remove the case from my phone to be able to connect it to the headphone jack.Pros:-Very high gain. Does not require positioning too close to your mouth.-Excellent voice clarity.-Does a great job at picking up the voice while reducing ambient noise.-Materials feel high quality.-Spare clip and wind muff.-Nice rubber bag with velcro opening for carrying.Cons:-The voice sounds a bit flat, but I'm sure it can be easily edited with professional audio software.-The plug is rather wide and might not fit some audio jack cutouts on some cases.Verdict: Highly recommended!

Good for the money but MONO and not good for DLSR
Well, I have mixed feelings. That's why I gave a 2 stars review after re-testing it.I bought this mic because I wanted to record me playing a brass instrument as part of my training. Since I'm a beginner I did not wanted to invest more than $150 or even $200 in a professional mic. So I checked extensively on the web and this one came out handy. You can see on the picture it shows a DSLR camera. So I plugged it in my Nikon D-800 and for my surprise there was no sound at all. I realize I needed to connect the 3.5 adaptor (used for iPhones) and that's the only way to record. The problem is the sound is mono. Well, maybe not such a big deal since many other more expensive ones are also mono and I still don't know if I can compensate during the editing. The only similar one (around same price) in stereo has a short cable so no use to record closer to my instrument.I tested it on my iPhone and it worked just fine and stereo. Maybe for interviews it works very well. All the three adaptors work fine on th iPhone.I'm not still sure if I will return it. I have to record more videos with my camera playing my instrument and see the results. For the money it is a good mic with two adaptors and a small purse. It comes with an USB card which I have no idea how to use it.I accessed the website. It is very poor. I tried to click on the vip area but nothing happened. No way to contact anyone on that website so I'm not sure what it is doing there. I understand they sell mics and not websites but....Updated on Nov 30th: After many recordings using my DSLR camera (Nikon) I realize its sound quality is poor, strident and with high level of wheezing. Since I did not buy for interviews or iPhone use and had it for sound recording from my Nikon DLSR I decided to return it.

It was ten times better than the original mic the Azden set came with
So I had a couple of lav mics that I used with my Azden pro XD and ran into some issue with the mic. I emailed them about the mic issue and they asked me for info to send me another mic....well I was looking at other mics online and saw this one and decided to give it a try. I finally received it and used it along with my wireless mic set for the wedding I had. The audio was clear precise.. It was ten times better than the original mic the Azden set came with. I am now thinking of purchasing a second one. I'm glad I waited.

Good tone for the money
I bought my GoPro hero4 silver to record myself playing my guitar. It didn't take long to find out that the internal microphone just isn't enough. The camera can't be in the same place as where the sound is coming from. This often led to almost no volume since the camera is in front of me and the amps are behind me. I knew I would have to get an external USB mic. I bought the GoPro mic and am very impressed with the sound quality. I thought it would only be good for voice. My videos sound as good as the sound in the room. Anyone looking for a mic that will work with a GoPro camera and are looking for something to give them good music quality sound should consider this mic.

Good record quality, but poor plug design.
The record quality of this mic is decent, however when I originally purchased it the photo showed a narrow diameter plug housing, but in reality the plug end uses a wide, 3/8" diameter plastic housing which is too wide to fit down into the opening on my Samsung S5 Seidio case. Remove the case and it works fine, but this is unacceptable to me. All the corded headsets and headphones I have owned have all had narrow diameter plug housings. The case I use for my phone can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-SURFACE-Kickstand-Holster-Samsung/dp/B00JMI3W10?ie=UTF8&keywords=seidio%20s5&qid=1459021121&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

We use it for our school morning news show and it has great sound. We've had so many problems with microphones not picking up voices or they just stop working after only using a couple of months. We attached this lapel mic to a pen, place it in a tripod, put it in the middle of two kids and it worked perfectly. It picked up both kids' voices. They didn't have to talk loudly or bend over into the microphone. I highly recommend for a simple mic for your iPad, computer, or audio mixer. We've only used it inside so I can't speak for background noise or wind when using it outside.

Excellent Microphone - audio quality great, I own 3
Microphone is great, like the long 15 ft cord. Extras in the package are great too. Audio quality is great. I've bought 2 and plan to buy 1 more. As instructor I use 1 for large class room presentation, hook up to laptop and use portable speakers. AND Instead of Bluetooth in vehicle use other as mic w/ an aux speaker as hardwire hands free cell phone use in vehicle. Works so well put one in wife's vehicle (3 total).

Save your money!
What a disappointment. After extensive testing, this mic picks up an excessive and inordinate amount of fuzzy line noise. The environment doesn't seem to make a difference, for every recording I tried, the dialogue sounded fuzzy. Whether there was room noise or not, everything this mic picks up is marred by fuzz. The performance of this microphone is nowhere near what a $40.00 mic should sound like. A $10.00 USB mic from China records better quality than this. I'm sorely disappointed, and I've already requested a refund. It's awful, because I had a significant project I was hoping to record with this microphone.Save your money; it doesn't record anything clearly.

Product was advertised to come with a 3. 5mm ...
Product was advertised to come with a 3.5mm jack and compatible with iPhones. It does neither. Don't buy if you're planning to use it for anything other than go pro!! Did not even get to plug it in to test it because I don't have a go pro. The description is wrong! Edit: I did not know there was 2 different products and they use the same description. I will give a proper review once it arrives.
