Works briliantly!
A much less expensive version of the Surface Pro keyboard works brilliantly!

Arrived with many keys on the left side of the Keyboard NON FUNCTIONAL
This looked like an amazing product and felt great when I connected my surface 4 pro to it. Actually, felt like a regular laptop. Then when I started to use it I found that a load of the keys did not workEG: 1,2,q,w,a,s,z,x...... VERY DISSAPPOINTED!

Too many problems to justify the price
This is a premium product and the packaging makes that clear. It looks like high-end Microsoft or Apple packaging. Here are my pros and cons for this product:✔ Quality feel✔ Very stable to type on✔ Good battery✖ US layout✖ No F-lock keys✖ Trackpad glitches✖ Stiff hinges✖ Startup delayClearly the badness outweighs the goodness, and I will clarify a couple of the negative points. The trackpad appears to be running slower than other ones I have used, for example the original MS signature keyboard. It is using a lower refresh/polling rate, at least that’s what it feels like. This makes it feel slow and laggy, like a cheap £100 netbook. When connected to a £1000 Surface Pro it should not feel like that. Another problem is it will sometimes glitch out and jump around the screen. I don’t know if this is a driver issue, static, or something else. It’s not very often, and only appears after about half an hour of power being on.The startup delay is much more annoying. The keyboard can often take a couple of minutes to connect after power on or sleeping, which is crazy. This should be a few seconds at most, as it’s right next to the device. This is with a surface pro 6 i5. The stiff hinges are a real concern for me as they require some force to move and this is definitely putting strain on the surface pro itself. All in all for the £130 price this is a failure. For that money I expect perfection, and this is far from it.

Does the job
I have a Surface Pro I've used for a couple years but I don’t think I was truly getting the full potential out of it. So I thought one of these might do that. When connected I was pleasantly surprised to see just how comfortable it is to type on, even for a fast typer like myself. Cheaper keyboards tend to not allow fast typer’s to get accurate feedback as the keys are cheap and not very tactile. Luckily I will say the quality and craftsmanship of this keyboard is very impressive! The Trackpad works well too. Im able to storm through tasks with ease, not having to re-slide with my finger like I had too before with my cheap keyboard I had. The hinges are solid and sturdy. They certainly will be able to withstand everyday use. One issue I wasn’t too please with was the function keys can’t be locked to be function keys, but are always locked to be the secondary function such as brightness, volume, etc. Which means that you can't do simple things like ALT+F4 because the function key and alt key are how you enable and disable the trackpad - so that means you can't hit that combination. To me that doesn’t make sense. But to be honest is it really a deal breaker? Not for me. Just slightly a bug bare. The price has come down considerably since it was first poster, so for little over a hundred pounds I do think this is the sweet spot. Anymore than this then I think it would be highly overpriced. The build quality is fantastic and I haven’t run across any off the issues that the other reviews are stating. The trackpad is extremely responsive for me along with the keys. I ultimately believe these issues are down to not updating firmware.

US KEYBOARD LAYOUT, NO FN LOCK
made in china and it shows. the quality is not high enough for the price, as can be seen in photo, the paint is poor quality. for the amount of money i was expecing a very stylish item.this keyboard layout will really impact surface pro productivity for english/british users. loosing function keys makes me sad also, design companies see these as redundant, but they are extrmely useful shortcuts in many applications that enhance productivity greatly.if you do have alot of documents and code to write, this might not be the keyboard for you.

NOT a UK Keyboard and no Function Key lock! Wel built but heavy.
A solid metal keyboard however this means it is nearly 700 grammes which twice the weight of the Microsoft Type Keyboard. With it not being a Microsoft product, connection is by Bluetooth as opposed to using the proprietary magnetic port on bottom on the Surface Pro. Charging is with the included USB-C to USB-C lead although any USB-C charging lead will work. When the Surface Pro is in the keyboard grips, the keyboard is slightly raised which is usefulOne significant point is this is the US version of the keyboard meaning the £ symbol is a # and " and @ are swapped around. Windows 10 can cope with this by installing the US keyboard layout on the Surface Pro and the toggling between the two keyboards. Also the Function keys along the top row do not lock.Ensure your Surface Pro is fully up to date as this solves many issues.I'm not a trackpad fan on any devices so only used the trackpad a little so can't really comment here.Given the keyboard layout is US, the price is a little high in my opinion.Product come well boxed

Brilliant at everything except being a keyboard
I love this design, it really is a thing of beauty and for a moment I was able to experience my surface pro in laptop form. However, keys on the top 2 rows would stop working at random, and issues with the Bluetooth meant it would lag and spam letters. I want to love this because the design is top notch and the price is good, but its let down by this issue. I'll be returning it.
