ARCTIC FOX 100% VEGAN TRANSYLVANIA SEMI PERMANENT HAIR DYE COLOR 4 OZ

I have used this product twice and I am very happy with it. First of all, who wants to put something on their hair which has been tested on animals or contains animal products. This product is cruelty free and animal free. Secondly the quality of product is very good. It went on easily and covered my grey really well too. It delivers salon quality results at a fraction of the price. I did manage to get some in the bath and on the tiled walls, but it came off without any issues. I will definitely be buying this again.

The colour is really nice but the smell is awful

This hair dye will stain everything around you, but not your hair! It ruined my new nails, my fingers look like I'm deceased - the colour just won't come off. It seriously damaged my bathtub, everything is stained, I tried multiple chemicals to get rid of it - my landlord will not be happy at all. It stained my face so badly that I had to use pure acetone to clean it. And the "best" thing about this hair dye is that it didn't cover my white hair at all, literally no effect on my hair, zero, nada.

Smells amazing and good blue based black. Dilutes to a lovely smokey blue. As it's thicker than most hair dyes it does require more precision when applying to ensure even coverage. Compared to other hair dyes it is quite pricey, but the company is a good company to support for cruelty free hair care.

after developing allergies to normal hair dyes i searches for somthing to enable to let me carry on having my hair jet black. i had been dying my hair black (naturally ginger) since i was 12 so to find out i was no longer able to dye my hair was awful. i was so scared to put anything on my head but i have about 6 inches of ginger roots and i had do somthing other than cutting all my hair off!anyway to the point if the dye iv used a few semi permanent dyes but this one is the best. for anyone that says it don’t work on dark hair tip is to wrap your head in cling firm once applied and blow dry it for 15 mins then let sit then another 10 mins and it works really well :) as for not lasting long it’s lretty expected from a semi dye so even though it’s a bummer it washes out so quick it’s worth it to be able to have my black hair back! plus i only wash my hair once every 10 days anyway!

Your bathtub and shower will be stained bright pink. I guess it’s ok if you like pink but if you rent your landlord won’t be happy. It will stain your skin as well, this is easier to clean than your bathtub will be. It also made my fingernails purple? And this is yet to come off. The bottle is also tiny for the price. I’d rather pay a hairdresser to tone my hair than go through this dye and bathtub cleaning process again.

This hair dye is really well respected and I bought it based on other people's shining reviews of it and for the fact that it contains only plant-based products, which should hopefully be kinder to my hair.First the positives:I chose black and was impressed by how black it made my hair. I mean, I've been dying my hair black for about 25 years, but the Arctic Fox black is REALLY BLACK! It also goes on with no fuss, no hassle and a minimum of mess (it's semi-perm, so accidental spillage is not a big deal. Mostly...)Negatives:It lasts about 2 washes. I don't wash my hair with shampoo every day - usually about once or twice a week, so to my dismay, by the second wash with shampoo and lukewarm water (about the 3rd week of actual coverag) my original colour was mostly back.It's really messy whilst on your head. I have a habit of touching my hair a lot. No idea why, but I tuck bits behind my ears, scoop bits back into a pony tail and let it dangle free, run my fingers through it to de-tangle and so on. Whenever I do this, I get black all over my nails and finger tips which I have to immediately wash off. Yes, I know it's a semi-perm hair dye, but it seems to come off onto my fingers more noticeably than other semi-perms I've used.It doesn't make a dent on grey hairs. To be fair, it never claims to be suitable for grey hairs, but I thought it would make a very slight difference. Unfortunately not. I'm an elder Goth who is just starting to go grey at the sides and once the rest of my hair was dyed jet black, the grey parts stood out like a sore thumb. This may or may not be the look you are going for, and whilst it didn't bother me too much - I was disappointed that the dye didn't do anything at all to mute the greys.So would I recommend it? Sure - if you've never used it before, definitely give it a go. The fact that it contains only nice ingredients should be an immediate attraction to the product. But my experience, whilst not a total disappointment, was very much a "meh" experience as I was expecting a lot more. Your mileage may vary, of course...

I love this black, as a semi permanent colour it works really well over my bright vampire red (manic panic) colour, did my fringe and ends. Tried others like directions (used to work 27 years ago, guess the formula has changed) so as fo a vegan dye in my professional opinion says this is the one to go for.

It's just odd that my black hair dye left a green stain on my towel instead of a black stain. I also wish it was darker

I love dying my hair random Colors and I’ve done black before. The difference between this black and other blacks is how well it makes your hair look like it’s naturally supposed to look black. I rinsed my hair the first time and made sure all the dye was out till the water went clear and I was worried that it would lift but I didn’t want to go for that fake Black hair look and it’s perfectly what I wanted. I 100% Recommend! One thing is the smell is VERY strong but it’s better then a lot of other brands I’ve dealt with! also doesn’t stain your skin!!

So to start off I have level 6 brown hair with a slight reddish tint, pretty easy to dye dark colors so I figured I'd try black! I'm sooo glad I did, it looks absolutely stunning; tho be warned ur skin will absolutely be a tad blue :'))The dye seeped thru my gloves and covered my hands, however with a bit of warm water and dish soap it's mostly gone! Id recommend reading the back of the bottle, as it directs you to buy some petroleum jelly to place at the perimeter of your hairline, ears, neck, and id recommend wrists too.If you're ordering from this seller be warned the bottle doesn't come in a box so you'll have to purchase your own gloves separately.It smells super good too btw!! Kinda reminded me of grapes, not like awful or anything super good.Haha sorry for rambling, overall id highly recommend this product, while I can't speak for the longevity Im more than happy to state that I'm satisfied with this product. It works wonders, takes to hair rlly well & dosnt stain too harshly on the skin (assuming you took the proper precautions). EDIT: As of 03/28/24 the dye has mostly faded. It washed out mostly after ≈ 2 months of bi weekly washing. My hair still has a bit of a green tint tho it's not too bad, barely noticable tbh. TLDR: I bought this product in October of 2023 and it lasted till Abt December before wearing down into a green tint which has now been fading out as of March 2024.

I am a natural ginger/strawberry blond. I used this dye and after a wash or two, my hair was closer to purple and green than black. So it only looked black in poor lighting

This dye is ridiculously temporary, often washing out after only one week.
