Tramontina Porterhouse Stainless Steel Steak Knife Set

Love them. Reasons:1. The blade works great for all-purpose home knives. Can scoop avocado out of tiny cups and spread it on toast, and can cut dinner meat. And everything between. End-result: fewer knives in your drawer, and fewer knives to clean.2. The handle is fantastic for a medium-sized man's hands, such as my own.3. They look super-cool and nice (unless you're expecting the quality of $100 knives).4. The price.5. They're larger than typical but they *aren't* enormous. See my photo, which compares this knife to my old steak knives.Can't speak to durability since I've only owned them a few days, so this only applies to first impressions.

I've admired these oversized Steak Knives used at various local Steakhouses for years. You know the one, where you were tempted to accidentally let one drop into your purse? They are used at Texas Roadhouse and others, including Jameson's Charhouse. I was there the other night and this time temptation lead me to action... action to find these knives and order a set! With no trouble at all I found them on Amazon, at an incredibly fair price and they were in my house 2 days later! They are exactly the same knife with the same color handle. They are beautiful IMHO, and feel good in hand. They are just the right weight. They are stainless Steel and supposedly dishwasher safe, but personally I hand wash all knives to keep them looking new. Yes, the handle has a "worn" look, made of a Poly Resin which I find very attractive. The packaging is basic but I did appreciate the inclusion of knife tips to protect that sharp point. Don't discard those... for someone intending to store these in a drawer, the knife tip would be very helpful. I use a knife block, so I won't be needing them. They offer a partial Tang, meaning the blade continues half way into the handle. A full tang is what you'd find in a more expensive knife. These are $5 knives!! I have a photo of this knife with my much-more-expensive Wusthof steak knife and you can see the girth of that handle and blade. I'm so pleased I found this Porterhouse Steak Knife by Tramontina that I'm sending a set to the couple who treated me to dinner at Jameson's the other night as a thank you. Love you Judy and Ralph!

Larger than I thought but well balanced in hand, cuts beautifully, nice looking knife. A great value as well.

Great knives. Had some with Keg label back when they had two brass rivets. Loved those, these are almost identical with no negative differences.

These “High Quality Steak Knives” are the finest steak knives we have ever owned. My husband’s preference is the rounded tip on a steak knife, which was one of the initial attractions. They are exceptionally sharp and effortlessly slice through our steak and other foods. Furthermore, they are aesthetically pleasing on the table and even beautiful in the drawer!Initially, I purchased one set. As empty-nesters, that was all we truly needed considering we already had several steak knives in the drawer. After thoroughly enjoying them and witnessing their exceptional sharpness and appearance, I gifted two sets to my brother-in-law. His family is equally delighted with them. After using them for several years, I decided to purchase another set for us and to donate all of our other steak knives.The original set maintains its exceptional sharpness and luxurious appearance to this day even after washing in the dishwasher hundreds of times. I have purchased this new set with confidence that it will be equally remarkable as the original.

I'd recommend these knives. They are good. I won't give 5 stars because nothing is ever perfect. It is too soon to tell if the product deserves the 5 stars

great steak knives just like at Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse. wouldn't recommend on paper plates you WILL cut through them
