Alternative use
My camera, a Fujifilm Fine Pix S9900W, had a plastic tripod thread which stripped with no space for repair. The iShoot Metal Lens Support Collar Tripod Mount Ring, although made for a Cannon camera, has the same internal diameter as the rubber coated lens on my Fine Pix. (Approx 65.5cm)By clamping in reverse, I regained a tripod thread and remounted my Peak Design Capture plate. The finish of the iShoot is well made and strong, being all metal. There is a small overall weight increase, but acceptable given use.

Holds lens but slips
Hold the lens OK but if the camera is held in landscape, the lens slips in its collar and the camera tilts to off horizontal. This maybe due to the camera weight of 5D. Cannot tighten the collar more as its at its maximum tightness. So modification is needed in my case a small thin strip of rubber to widen the girth of the lens.

As with other reviewers the knob broke off
Product seems good initially but after about 10 times using it the tightening knob broke off as the metal is not strong enough where the retaining screw is located. Does not appear to be any way of requesting a replacement. Save your money and buy a better quality products.

Great value lens support collar
Excellent lens support collar, it fits perfectly and works like a dream, on a tripod very easy to unlock turn lens to reframe and lock again.

Not worth It.
So I used this collar for a couple of weeks. I didn't put it through stressful testing, just used it for my daily shooting. At one point I wanted to adjust it and the knob broke off, the screw inside split in half. I tried mending it and putting it back in but that only made things worse, the whole mechanism connecting the collar got pushed in and now its impossoble to lock it all together. I kinda was happy with it for the couple of weeks it didn't break, but I wouldn't recommend getting this.

Nice piece of kit
Got this for my Canon 70-200mm F4 L USM lens, and I'm not disappointed. Easy to fit and fairly well made, making it well worth the price, and much cheaper than Canon original.

Good Replacement for More Expensive OEM
I bought the Canon EF 70–200mm f/4L IS II USM and looked into the Canon ring. Yeah, $150 US for something that should come with a long telephoto, I don’t think so. This ring seems sturdy so far and only had a slight issue with fit as it was a little loose. Placed a small strip of thick tape to it and it now holds nice and steady. I’ll update if any issues arise, but after a shoot last weekend, all seemed to work as well as it should.

GREAT to adapt tele lens to small camera - WELL MADE!
Really well made. I purchased this to hold a telephoto "legacy lens" adapted to an Olympus micro four thirds camera (either M5ii or M10ii), because I wanted to reduce the stress on the camera mount (That is what these collars are for, right?).Anyway, my lens diameter is 62mm and this collar is about 65mm, so adding some thick tape to the inside diameter fixed things just right. I can't imagine how this collar would be improved in material, workmanship, or durability.

I purchased this tripod mount support for my new 70-200 f4 IS II and am very pleased. It is a sturdy metal design that is easy to use. I like that it has a build in quick release plate. When using the collar with the lens being used with a 1.4 x teleconverter I install the collar reversed to allow better balance. The Ishoot seems like a very good buy.Jack
