Great Chapter Books for your Young Reader!
We are always looking for chapter books for our daughter (age 7). She has always been an excellent reader reading well above her age group and gets through books quickly. That is great, but challenging when trying to keep up with her and looking for good chapter books for her age. We focus primarily on positive stories and avoid series with less appropriate language or attitudes. The Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew series has been great. It is a fun reboot of the old Nancy Drew stories brought into the present day with more up-to-date stories and technology. They have fun little mysteries focused on younger kids. My daughter has been going through these like water. They keep her interest and really entertain her. The nice thing is that this series has a lot of books available already (40 at the time of this review and more coming) and several collections of multiple books sold at a discount. We always run out of books, so a big series like this is great. Highly Recommended! We are always looking for more chapter books for girls in this age group so here is a list of what we have enjoyed that focus on positive stories in case you are looking for a new series to try:1) Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew (Mysteries)2) The Puppy Place (For your Pet Lovers)3) Anna & Elsa (Frozen Series)4) Never Girls (Disney Fairies Series)5) Whatever After (Princess Series)6) Tales From Pixie Hollow (Older Disney Fairies Series)7) Rainbow Magic (Fairy Series for Younger Readers)8) National Geographic Readers (Non-Fiction, not really a Chapter book but a great way to break into non-fiction)

Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #3 "Pony Problems"
Great Series!! I purchased Books 1-8, for an 8-year old...she absolutely loves them. She enjoys reading, and since she is required to read 30-minutes every night for school, the chapter books come in very handy. She often finds herself reading more than 30-minutes, because she wants to finish a certain chapter, etc. The stories are great, fun, interesting, the illustrations are okay. She looks forward to following the main characters throughout the different series. Also worth mentioning, is the "activity" page within the books; they are projects that can be done later if interested, and if you enjoy doing some craft with your little ones every once in a while, it's a nice addition (sometimes she wants to do them...thankfully not always). Highly recommend the books, and will definitely be purchasing additional series. Pony Problems (Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #3)

Nancy Drew Clue Crew
My granddaughter was having difficulty with reading, and it was hard to get her interested in any stories, as she was 8 years old, and not into baby books any longer, and other books were too hard for her to read or to comprehend. But when I found the Nancy Drew books and they were about an 8 year old who solved mysteries, we finally found something that held her interest and was in her age range. We read these books together, and discusss each chapter she reads, and try to solve the mystery ourselves. We are now into our 3rd book of the series, and we look forward to our daily reading together.

River Heights has a loose Button!
What a super introduction for young readers to the world of mystery literature!Nancy Drew has been entertaining readers for generations with stories that illustrate fun, friendship and some powerful deductive reasoning. The Clue Crew series also features settings that will enthrall the targeted age range, and Pony Problems features an adorable Buttons, who escapes from his pen at the petting zoo!It looks like Nancy and her friends will have to figure out how Buttons keeps getting out, or every flower in River Heights will be gobbled up!Cute, fun and recommended!

No neigh-saying this series
My 6 year old is loving this series. It's easy enough that she reads (in kindergarten) about 70% of it and I fill in the rest. I don't have to explain many concepts to her, it's about the right level for that, and there's some great character building lessons.Read in any order- Classic Nancy Drew stand alone greatness in almost every one.

Pony Problems
This is the third in a lovely mystery series for girls, of approx 6-10 years, featuring a young Nancy Drew and her Clue Crew (Nancy and her best friends (and cousins), Bess and George). These are short novels and they involve situations that young girls are all familiar with, making this is a good introduction to mysteries and to the characters.A new petting zoo has opened near the girls and it has a sweet Shetland pony named Buttons. When Buttons keeps escaping, the girls have to devise a way to keep him safe. As well as protecting Buttons, they also have to help a girl who has just moved to the town and is missing her old home. My daughter really likes this series and the books are excellent for newly fluent readers, with short chapters, illustrations and there is also a little activity at the back of the book - in this one it is making a model horse.

Prefect for young Nancy Drew fans!!
Excellent books for kids. My daughter is 7 and was hook! I loved Nancy Drew as a child so was so pleased when I found these for my daughter. She has a nice collection already. Can wait to get her started on the classics!

Damaged book
I bought this book as a gift for a friend’s daughter. The packaging arrived undamaged but unfortunately the book has arrived with a tear at the corner of the front cover and the pages up to page 5 have all got the corner either ripped or torn off altogether. Disappointing as surely this should have been checked before dispatch. The tear is very obvious.

Great book
My 8 yr old read this in one night. She enjoyed the way they managed to solve the mystery by following the clues. She didn't figure it out before it was explained but it all made sense in the end.
