Bought this in 8/2021 for a phone with no earphone port. Used it frequently, good sound quality, no issues with volume, worked well for phone calls. With my laptop it enables 96K audio sampling with distinct improvement in sound quality over the 48K the laptop's built-in system offers. It also enables microphone input if the headset has one. A laptop must have a USB-C port to accept the device.In 6/2023 it began disconnecting during walks. Contact cleaner made it more stable for a short time, but eventually it stopped working. Tested with a different phone, did not work there either. The problem appears to be the unit's USB-C jack. Given price and positive experience with audio performance, bought it again. Rated 3 stars based on short lifetime.

UPDATE (NO PHOTO): Returned the item, seller sent replacement with the correct item promptly. In the process I had purchased another adapter. Both work on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. However, with this adapter I did notice that sound, call and the over all build quality wasn't as good with this adapter. With that said, it works and the quality of the audio/calls is good just not great like my other adapter. The other adapter is also a dollar cheaper, however these are shorter and more flexible, and that may be a good thing. Time will tell with durability.OLD REVIEW (PHOTO RELATED): I guess if I had a use for this like pumping audio into my cell phone, this would be useful. However, as you can see from the picture from the seller this should be a USB C connector that goes into your phone at 1 end and a female 3.5mm receptacle at the other to plug your headphones in. As you can see from the picture I uploaded, this is USB C at one end and a male 3.5mm at the other. I quite simply wanted a way to connect my wired headphones to my new Galaxy Note 10+ as advertised. This arrived the day before a heavy travel schedule, greatly limiting my ability to use my new phone

Don't enjoy Bluetooth earbuds at all. So when I found this adapter I was excited. It works beautifully with my old earbuds and can now fit back into my new Galaxy phone. The only drawback is that you have to plug it in with a USB which means you can't charge your phone and use this adapter at the same time.

Since Samsung decided to delete the headphone/microphone jack on the new S20 models, that put me in a precarious situation. I do video marketing for businesses and switched over from using my Canon DSLR to my Samsung S8 for shooting videos.I use a Boya BY-WM4 Pro wireless mic set for recording the audio. Without the mic jack on the phone, my wireless mics would not work. SO I tried ordering a USB C digital audio adapter from another company only to find out, mics did not work. I ordered this adapter and it DOES work. I can now record video with quality wireless lapel mic audio for my clients.If you are using a new Samsung S20 and a wireless mic set for shooting HD video. This is the adapter to get!NOTE: This adapter does not work with the iPhone.

I use this with my Samsung Tab S7+It doesn't come with a headphone jack, and although it works well with Bluetooth, i dont always want to carry my Bose.I called Samsung and they said nothing will work, How wrong they are. The sound works perfectly, and think a lot of "newer" no jack products could also use the adaptor.
